Icon Painting Programme Exhibition
16 December 2025 – 23 January 2026
Ten students will present work created during their three-year part-time icon painting programme. The icons are painted using the traditional technique of egg tempera on gessoed wooden panels, many with burnished gold. Students will also show monochrome studies on paper, works in their own right as well as being studies in iconographic form. Icons of Christ and his saints are a portal to heaven, a testimony to a world seen with the eye of the heart as well as of the body.
