Degree Show 2023

In July 2023, we were delighted to present the School’s annual Degree Show celebrating our graduate students’ successful completion of the two-year MA Programme.

2023’s graduating students demonstrate their passion, determination and commitment to the traditional arts and crafts, producing some remarkable and wide-ranging examples of work.

From Europe, Africa, the United States and Asia, our MA students have explored traditions such as: Indian and Persian miniature painting and illumination; traditional geometric designs in a range of materials; West African allos (Qur’an boards) in carved, painted and gilded wood; South East Asian indigenous patterns in ceramics and on paper; medieval stained glass; the preparation of materials from nature and the earth; Islamic calligraphy and illumination of the Qur’an; and contemporary mathematical pattern.
