A professional metalworker, Sameh joined the arts and crafts programme to develop his design skills. His experience of the difficulties faced by contemporary metalwork craftspersons motivated him to focus on shape design and the harmony of patterns, as well as how these are affected by the background material used. For his graduation project he crafted two magnificent brass trays engraved with intricate geometric and floral patterns.
