about the artist

Before joining the traditional arts and crafts programme at the Jameel House of Traditional Arts Cairo, Hend graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts. For her graduation project, she made two beautiful pieces: a wooden mirror frame and a cylindrical wooden box. Hend applied inlay and carving techniques, resulting in fascinating and remarkably intricate designs.
