ABOUT THE ARTIST

With experience in Applied Arts (Advertising), Lamiaa Ismail is an experienced graphic designer, origami artist, and art teacher, and has also developed skills in various crafts such as jewelry making, metalwork, wax engraving, and silver casting. Despite her passion and expertise in metalwork, Lamiaa was drawn to ceramics after being introduced to it through the programme and chose to specialize in the medium in her second year. Lamiaa aims to combine her newly gained knowledge and skills in traditional arts and ceramics with her existing practice in origami, graphics, and metalwork to continue exploring new techniques and art pieces.
