ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ibrahim came to the program with a background in Art Education, and experience in woodwork and wood veneer. He has his own small business which specializes in making home accessories with natural logs of local wood. His deep interest in learning more about traditional arts and crafts brought him to the program, where he continued to grow and excel in his woodwork skills. For his graduation project, Ibrahim constructed a bench which incorporated a combination of woodwork techniques such as carpentry, inlay work, and wood turning which was a new skill. Ibrahim executed his project with precision and a high quality of craftsmanship, producing a beautiful and functional final art piece.
