ABOUT THE ARTIST

Amira came to the programme with a background in Business Administration. She has a passion for the arts and has dedicated time to various short courses and workshops to develop her skills in various crafts. She came to the programme with a desire to deepen her knowledge and seek a more holistic approach towards traditional arts and crafts. Amira sharpened her skills through the programme, and was particularly keen to understand the technical aspects of each craft – particularly ceramics which she decided to specialize in. Most significantly, she loved learning how to design her own pieces, and applied principles of size, proportion, pattern, and texture to produce a range of beautiful work. She aims to build on this knowledge in her own ceramics business in the future.
