Outreach Team Visits Romania

The PSTA Outreach team was delighted to work together with The Prince of Wales’ Foundation Romania this summer to offer an introductory course on the language of traditional textile patterns and design. The eleven participants, who travelled to Viscri from different parts of Romania, were skilled embroiderers who carry on their ancestors’ love, knowledge and skill of local patterns and techniques. The course was taught together with a skilled embroidery teacher from Germany, Christine Ober, as part of the Romanian Foundation’s programme of summer courses that focus on traditional fabrics and techniques.
