Outreach programme

The School of Traditional Arts is committed to regenerating the traditional cultural heritage of different regions and communities. We have offered peripatetic and satellite programmes in more than 20 countries, helping government agencies, organisations and individuals around the world as they form their policies on education, craft and community development.

Icon Painting Programme

The School of Traditional Arts offers two specialized courses that blend historical craftsmanship with contemporary practice. The Icon Painting course, established in 2009, provides aspiring iconographers with a structured foundation in the ancient art form, addressing the growing demand for icons in modern times. In addition, students can pursue the first year of the MA programme, with opportunities for contextual studies and field trips to enrich their learning experience.
